I had just been writing a post in the WordPress editor when the webpage crashed, and I lost all 1000 words of the piece. Yeah, it sucks. I won’t be able to recover it again. On the upside, it’s taught me a major lesson.
It’s really easy to lose things.
As many of the startup founders I’ve interviewed can attest to, it’s easy to have something great going for you, and before you can realize it, have everything crash down before your eyes.
My example was a microcosm of this (obviously, it was just a blog article), but now I know to save my drafts. I’ll make sure the piece I had been writing is published tomorrow.
As for now, I’ll just leave the readership with a lesson: remember to always have a backup.
